What is the GRC?

The Global Ranavirus Consortium (GRC) facilitates communication and collaboration among scientists, veterinarians, and others interested in ranaviruses

GRC Board

The GRC board organizes and hosts the International Symposium on Ranaviruses every other year. Maintains a ranavirus LISTSERV and a semi-annual newsletter to enhance communication. Arranges regional discussion groups to share information on current research and address regional needs and concerns with ranaviruses. Produces books, technical articles, or other outreach products to advance the understanding of ranaviruses, and Provide advice, training, or workshops as requested.

I’m interested by developmental and evolutionary aspects of immune surveillance, tumor, viral and microbial immunity using the amphibian Xenopus as animal model.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

My research group is using the African clawed frog (Xenopus laevis) animal model to define the evolutionary and functional relationships between the amphibian and our own immune systems.
