Dear Colleagues of the Global Ranavirus Consortium (GRC),

We are writing to provide you with an update of the GRC activities the summer.

GARD conference: This conference took place in Knoxville TN August 4-10. The conference was co-organized by several organization including the GRC, was a real success with over 230 participants in person or by zoom from all over the world. In addition to excellent oral and poster presentations, there was a dynamic and productive interaction among established scientists and students of many different research fields and studying different pathogens from Bd and Bsal to ranavirus, herpes and other viruses and parasites.

GRC website update: A new, markedly improved website (ranavirus.org) has been launched, and we now require inputs from all our members. A special thanks to our outstanding webmaster Wytamma Wirth, PhD for this designing this website!

We strongly encourage you to build our community by participating in the website forum and making the rest of the GRC members aware of any exciting news or new publications. Please take a few minutes to add any pertinent information or updates within our new forum that include General discussion, Disease reports, Protocols, New papers, job and funding opportunity. You are also more than welcome to propose other topics to add in this forum.

Membership: Please be aware and advertise around you that membership can now be obtained at a markedly reduced fee or without fees at all for members from low-income countries.

We need your input: We would like to know your opinions and suggestions regarding how we can reinforce and build our global ranavirus community! We greatly value your time and input, so please take a couple of minutes to answer the survey using the following link:

Your opinion is very important to us and will help the GRC serve our community and facilitate our next meeting. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jacques Robert & Leon Grayfer
